8 Things we will not miss about #ApartmentLife

Hi Y’all! Just a little preface before you read this post. First, we realize that we are lucky to have a roof over our heads and are able to make this transition in a comfortable (mostly safe) neighborhood. Hubs and I have worked very hard to get where we are and will have to continue to work hard once we are in new home. We also realize that some people have limited options when it comes to their dwellings and in no way mean to be insulting. We know people who appreciate not owning their own home. These are simply our thoughts and observations after moving from a decent sized colonial to a small flat while we build our new home. So here goes, the 8 things we will not miss about this apartment when we move out!

  1. Cooking dinner and doing laundry in the same room….although the washer and dryer did add to the limited counter space.
  2. Sidestepping our way to our bed at night…and watching poor Elvis maneuver on and off the bed without getting stick between the bed and the wall.
  3. Sharing one dresser with hubs…which is located in the hallway, with bearded dragon on top.
  4. Washing dishes in the sink while staring at a wall.
  5. 1 bathroom…off the kitchen.
  6. Carpet.
  7. Boxes, baskets and bins everywhere!
  8. On street parking and those that park right in front of our place.

We have maintained a great sense of humor over over the past 6 months.
