Headed to the Farm! Update 5 and a few more lessons.

Exhausted. Mentally, physically and emotionally…but in a good way. Holy Crap! Seriously, I don’t remember it being this draining the last time we sold our home. Oh wait, I was 10 years younger…

Here are a few more lessons I’m learning along the way:

  1. The more you look at your own home before a showing, the more you will want to fix/change/clean it. Pick your battles and don’t over think it.
  2. There are things that people look for in a home that yours just wont have…it’s ok. They will find their dream home, your buyer will find there’s.
  3. When selling a home, a 2 hour open house can feel like 3 days, especially when you have 2 cats and a dog in your car. Plan accordingly.

To catch you up, we had our first showing on Saturday and our open house today. I know what your burning question is and I’ll just say, we’re getting nibbles, but nothing solid. I feel like we’re fishing…you know, sitting on the shoreline, casting our line out and waiting for something to bite. Lets just say our bobber is creating some rings but it hasn’t gone under water yet. It’s only been a week, we’re not desperate, so to be continued….

Be healthy, be well,
Meredith
