We Resolve NOT to Resolve….but, We Have Plans!

Happy 2018 from the Cohns!

First, I’m not going to reflect on 2017…if you’ve been following along, you know that we sold our home in the suburbs, spent almost 10 months in an apartment and built our forever home in the country in the hopes that we’ll live a simpler more sustainable lifestyle. Like most, we’ve had our challenges and our blessings. Thank you 2017, you’ve gotten us exactly where we want to be!

Second, I don’t love New Year’s Resolutions. I believe that every day is a chance for a new beginning. To put so much pressure on yourself on this one day out of the year to make a change, big or small, in my opinion is just too much. That being said, if it works for you (does it?) than best of luck, I’m rooting for you!

What I’d like to do on this first day of the year is outline a few things I’m looking forward to this year, and what you can look forward to hearing and maybe learning about! In no particular order and most certainly not a complete list, here goes:

  • Composting – err….”Cohn-posting”???

  • Harry building a greenhouse – yep, stay tuned folks!

  • A garden – the single most thing I missed living in our apartment this past year.

  • Grass – did you read our last post?

  • A puppy 🙂

  • Chickens

  • Canning/freezing in the fall (I know…pushing it, sorry)

  • Our solar panels being up and running

  • Decorating our home – I may need some help here!

Again, not a comprehensive list, but certainly enough to get us started. We hope you have bunches to look forward to in 2018. From our home to yours. Cheers!
